Thank you so much for thinking of donating to Fancy That—it truly means a lot.  While I’ve never met a teacup I didn’t like, before I accept a donation, I want to be sure you are comfortable knowing that I may not be able to keep every piece.

Many years ago—before vintage china rentals became popular in the U.S.—the Tea Guy and I operated a vintage china-rental business, so I still have quite a large inventory tucked away in my basement! For this reason, not every donated piece will ultimately go into service here.

Sometimes pieces are offered for sale or for free in the shop, while others are rehomed or donated elsewhere. One of my favorite places to donate is the indoor yard sale at the Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary, where 100% of the proceeds go directly toward the daily care and medical needs of their rescue cats.
 

Wherever your pieces ultimately find a home, you can feel assured that they will be treasured and given a second life.

Because we are a for-profit business, your donation is not tax-deductible. If you would like a receipt for tax purposes, please consider donating to an organization that is eligible to receive tax-deductible charitable contributions.
