Sarah is the owner and brainchild behind Fancy That, which got its start as the first event rental company in New England (and the second in the U.S.) to offer vintage china.  She graduated Magna cum laude from Curry College in Milton, MA, with a B.A. in Communications and a concentration in Broadcasting.

 

​During her "Pre-Tea"years, Sarah worked as a producer for "The Big Mattress" a top rated morning radio show on WBCN in Boston, for the outspoken social/political activist host, Charles Laquidara, and later for many years as an entertainment law paralegal.  In 2003, she turned her lifelong reverence for antique china into something more:  a vintage rental business, one of the first of its kind. 

 

After many years of research and sourcing, she and husband, Brad, opened a tea shoppe in 2011, located in Walpole, MA, in a quaint bungalow style building (a former residence, built in the 1800's) not too far from where Sarah grew up.  The shop stocks tea and accoutrements from around the world, such as Jam and Clotted Cream from England, paper wrapped sugar cubes from France, and much more. 

 

The Progression from Tea Shop to Tea Room was only a matter of time, and after months of hard work and renovations, the couple launched an English style Tea Room serving traditional Afternoon Tea, to rave reviews in the spring of 2013.

But none of this would be possible without Mr. Brad.  He likes to refer to himself as simply "the husband of the owner", but if you've ever seen him in action, you already know he is an integral part of what makes Fancy That operate.  After drinking coffee for 20 years in the U.S. Navy, he's now affectionately known around town as "The Tea Guy". :)
